What I've Been Up To - Post 3
Happy Sunday, my lovelies!
Wow, I haven’t done a “What I’ve Been Up To” post in a while, huh? But ever since I moved to California, I haven’t had anyone’s nails to do but my own! The nails in this post were actually mid-to-late 2013. My sister’s high school was having a silent auction fundraiser, and I offered up a “nail art party” – the winner would get the nails of three people done for free by yours truly. It actually ended up being a hit, and the winner asked me to do the nails of her three granddaughters (well two granddaughters and a family friend, but I’ll just say three granddaughters ;) )
First: Semi-Tribal for Katelyn
For the first lovely lady, she found a nail art photo on Pinterest and asked me to replicate the results (but unfortunately I’ve lost the link to the photos! Please, if these look familiar to anyone let me know so I can give credit where credit is due.)
It’s a bit difficult to tell from the photo, but there are actually four colors here: a deep burgundy base, and jagged sections layered in blue, white, and black.
These were a lot of fun to do! I had never really done this scribbled/jagged line technique, and both myself and Miss Katelyn really enjoyed the results :)
Second: Teal, Silver and Tiger Stripes for Kortney
On to the next! Kortney saw the tiger nails that I did for their school’s 2013 prom and loved them, so she requested a variation on them.
As you can see, I did teal with silver tiger stripes on the index fingers, silver on the ring fingers, and teal on the remaining fingers.
I loved this combo, and she was very happy with the results! Yay!
Third: Ombre for Emma
And last but not least, we have little Emma’s nails! She really liked the ombre style and turquoise polishes, so that’s what we did. (Unfortunately, the turquoises selected were very close in shade, so it’s a bit difficult to tell that there was a gradient at all!)
But even though the two polishes were a bit difficult to distinguish, I think the end result was still very pretty and Emma agreed. :)
Well that’s all from me, my lovelies! I hope you’ve enjoyed this post, it’s been waiting to be published for a while now laughs
Have a great week, my lovelies! I’ll see you next time <3
